Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox E855 Lapis Lazuli
What are the odds...
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox E855 "Lapis Lazuli".
I'm sure you know all about the Memovox and you probably saw a few of them but you haven't seen this one for a few years. Whats makes this Memovox so special? The dial. The so called "Lapis Lazuli" dial is extremely rare. Only a handful of these "blue scaled" dials are known.
This is the second time I found this rare example in 6 months time.... What are the odds.... or just a bit of luck? The last known for sale (Before i found them) was in 2015.
They are called "Lapis Lazuli" because the dial looks like the Lapis Lazuli stone. It is a blue lacquered dial that is unique to every single E855 Lapis Lazuli dial. It was produced in 1969 for a very short time
The condition is amazing, the case has been wel preserved over the years. The dial shows some patina on the index at 1 and 6 but the dial is in overall great condition. It has the original JL crowns and it comes with the JL buckle, box, papers (blanc), Memovox manual and tag.
The holy grail of the Memovox, The E855 Lapis Lazuli measuring 37mm with the K825 bumper movement.
