Blue dials have been one of the major trends of the watch industry for the past 6-7 years but blue dials were extremely rare at Lange until 2017. However, a jump backwards into the past you can see a blue dial version of the Lange 1 combined with a white gold case – under the reference 101.027, and was produced for a short period of time in the mid 90's.

The Lange 1 is, in every way, deserving of the description of modern icon. One of the first watches made following the re-establishment of A. Lange & Söhne, its simple yet distinctive design has commanded the respect of collectors. The Lange 1, reference 101.027, has a white gold 38.5mm case and , has all the traditional features of the Lange: Applied Roman numerals and large double-window date with black numerals on a white background

The Lange 1, ref 101.027, with the blue dial, was first introduced in 1997. The dial is crafted from solid silver and graced with solid-gold appliques and hour markers. The hands are made of rhodiumed gold.

The Lange Caliber L901.0 is a hand-winding mechanical movement with twin barrels and a 72 hour power reserve.

This particular example is in mint condition, with only light hints of use. The watch comes with a white gold Lange folding buckle, box and certificate of authenticity.
